How long have you been teaching yoga?

Five years

How long have you been with ADM?

Since day 1!

How did you get into yoga/what is your yoga background?

From a young age, I knew that movement was my 'calling'. I started out as a dancer and spent my secondary school years at de!Kunsthumaniora Contemporary Dance. Dancing has always been my escape, my way of connecting with something deeper than myself. The way my body responded (still does) to music was like nothing else. There's something magical about the way dance/movement allows us to express ourselves without words. However, professional dancing came with quite a lot of injuries as well, and that's how I came to practicing yoga. For me, mindful movement is a form of meditation. It clears my mind and connects me to my innermost self. I may have started out as a physical practice, but it's become so much more than that to me. It's a way of life, a way of seeing the world and expressing myself within it. But above all, it's the community, sharing the energy with like-minded people, and the deep and authentic connections I've built with it. I believe that yoga has the power to transform lives. It certainly has transformed mine.
