DISCOVER THE POWER OF REST

This training offers a rich introduction to restorative yoga, inspired by the teachings of Judith Hanson Lasater and approached through a trauma-sensitive lens.

You will not only learn what restorative yoga is, but more importantly how to offer it in a way that feels safe, supportive, and attuned to the nervous system.

Throughout this training, you will explore the foundations of restorative yoga:

  • 10 essential restorative poses

  • Skillful and supportive use of props

  • Clear, gentle, and effective cueing

  • Intelligent sequencing of a restorative class

  • A deep understanding of the benefits of restorative yoga

You will leave with the confidence to guide others into states of rest and restoration.

THE NERVOUS SYSTEM AS A FOUNDATION

Understanding the nervous system is key to teaching restorative yoga effectively.

In this training, you will learn:

  • What the nervous system is and how it functions

  • The basics of polyvagal theory

  • How this knowledge applies to restorative yoga

  • Why a trauma-sensitive approach is essential

These insights will allow you to create practices that support regulation, safety, and healing.

This training emphasizes a compassionate, trauma informed, choice-based approach.

You will learn how to:

  • Create a safe and inclusive environment

  • Use language that supports autonomy and awareness

  • Guide students without overwhelm

  • Work with the body, rather than against it
